BORGWARD GOLIATH HANSA LLOYD meeting

Dear Borgward Friends,


We cordially invite you to our 1st International Meeting in the UK taking place in and around Brooklands Museum.

Brooklands was the the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit, constructed at Weybridge, Surrey in 1907 - was more than a great sporting arena. Brooklands was the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, home of Concorde and the site of many engineering and technological achievements throughout eight decades of the 20th century.

Situated 35kms South West of london it is in an ideal place close to many interesting places including Windsor Castle ~(23kms), Painshill (3kms), Loseley Park (15 kms), and of course London itself.

On Saturday Afternoon we will drive to a nearby beauty spot Newlands Corner before a group dinner.

Why not stay a few more days and enjoy the local area before or after the meeting The Borgward Drivers club is here to help.

PROGRAM
Friday 8th May 19:30 Group dinner in the restaurant next to the hotel for early arrivals.
Saturday 9th May

10:00 Drive to Brooklands Museum from the hotel(8kms) to meet up with friends talk about cars and look around the exhibits.

Rob Steen and AutoDus will be with us with spare parts.

A special price of £10 for one day and £15 for both days has been arranged for us.

An area has been allocated for us in the Paddock and the Outer Paddock for the Lorries.

Food and drinks are available throughout the day.

16.30 Convoy from Brooklands to Newlands Corner arriving back at the hotel at about 18.30

Before dinner we hope to have a Model T Ford coming to the hotel carpark to see if Borgward owners can drive it.

19:30 Group Dinner in the restaurant next to the hotel.

* A "shopping trip" is being arranged from the hotel Saturday morning. More information soon.*

Sunday 10th May

Breakfast at the hotel then,

Drive to the Museum Opens at 9.00

Watch the The MG Regency Run from Brooklands to Madeaira Drive Brighton setting off or look around at the buses, planes, Concord and cars.

An area has been reserved for us behind the Hanger.

We hope to have a Model T Ford coming along to see if Borgward owners can drive it.

14.30 Borgward Drivers Club AGM to be held in Education Room 4 The Wellington Room. Final details on the day.
