_John Wallis 1957 Borgward Hansa Pullman 2400 Body Restoration.

I have set up a number of pages to show the rebuild progress.

The panels have been delivered to Ray Marsh who has started paint stripping and repair. http://www.tlcoachworks.com/ 0044(0)7884 380705

The car has been repaired in the past .

Body now delivered to Ray.

Ray is first repairing the bonnet/hood The back part had to be cut out due to fatigue and corrosion.

Repair section being made.

Section let in. The panel will be fitted to the body for final tweaking.

Test fitting.

The paint has been removed from half the roof.

The rear wing had been poorly repaired in the past so Ray is having to "adjust" things.

Rear wing repair.

This front wing has had a lot of panel beating in the past, Ray has stripped all the paint and filler off so any rust can be dealt with at this stage.

The body has had all the paint removed ready for rust removal etc.The roof was quite rusty as much of the paint had been burnt off in a house fire.

Ray will sandblast this area.

Front wing after initial filling.

The Body is now on a trolley so suspension repairs can be carried out while in the paint shop.

The Pullman comes with 15" wheels this 20" Porsche alloy may be a bit big!

Ray Marsh at work sandblasting the roof ready for primer.

The body has been taken outside for cleaning before being put into the spray booth for priming.

Roof in primer.

Rubbing down the primed roof.

Doors and wings will be refitted later to aid rubbing down.

Ray has now started spraying the body we hope to have the shell home in 3 weeks.

Final black.

Front subframe ready to fit.

Front and rear subframe now refitted The shell will be polished soon and then its time to bring home.

The Pullman is now home so reassembly can start
